Chromatic Exercises

We continue with our chromatic mission for beginners. This time we'll have the ever fun one string chromatics, this scale is a lot of fun to play and very hard to master, it takes years to be able to play this scale extremley fast, so play it everyday, for beginners it is absolutely essentail to warm up and practice chromatics every day, because they are the tools to build speed, power and accuracy in your fingers, if you are serious about guitar playing. Anyways, start at the highest fret on your guitar (usually the 21st fret), and put your pinky on the last fret and consecutively play all notes and make sure that each note rings cleary, play them down the neck until you reach the very first fret which is F and on first string, then move down to the next string which is B, and this time go the opposite direction, use a metronme for time and accuracy The other 2 exercises below use the same concept, except you do the ascending and descending at the same time sliding to the next note either with your pinky or index. Try to always be creative even with chromatics. Practice Hard. Till next time.
